I'm setting up a bench for a possible apprentice and duplicating my set-up for the most part. I figure it will make it easier to translate "watching" into "doing" by having similar tools.
I picked up a nasty old Boley watchmaker lathe as a first step in equipment acquisition:
A few hours of disassembly, bead blasting and wire wheeling got me this, waiting for an updated toothed belt drive system:
I'm also looking for a little Boley vise like the one pictured in the foreground of my bench here, so if anyone has one available, I'm interested:
