Has anyone bought one of those chinese chainsaws off of ebay and had a good experience with them. They look pretty good and im thinking of buying one. They are very reasonably priced (about $180). I was looking at two. one is a 62cc/20in bar and the other is a 52cc/22in bar. One goes by the name TimberPro and the other is a no name. Heres the link:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/52CC-22-EPA...050?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item53fc6c430a
The first one looks decent. The second one is cheaper at $120 but looks like it could be crappy.
Let me know what you think.

I bought a McCulloch CS380 NEW, off the internet for 128 bucks shipped. Check them out maybe, before you buy something chinese . It runs real strong, it kicks ***, I've used it a lot. JMO They might be OK,but I'd have a hard time finding out they weren't ,then buying another. I did that with the Poulan Wild Thing.....biggest POS gas powered tool I've ever seen.

If you buy one, I'd get a couple so you have a "parts car" on hand.

Who Knew!!! What DONT the Chi-Coms copy? any idea on which saw they copied? I haven't ever looked for a Chinese saw, but it just stands to reason...

My main saw is a Jonsered 2171...powerful as all get out. But she's big & heavy, I've long thought about getting a small junk saw just to limb and trash in the dirt...Never could mentally justify spending the $$ when I had a $$$$ saw already...at what the small ones are going for, I might just try one of these disposable POS's out!

LOL the first link looks just like a Husky and the 2nd a old Sachs Dolmar from the 80s. I'd rather get a used Stihl so at least you can get it fixed when it breaks down. I don't think there's any real savings buying a chinese clone.

just curious - since your basically in the same price range - why not just get a good craftsman, and at least have a store with a warranty to honor it?

they have a 50cc 20" w/case on sale for $209
and an 18" 46cc for $179

the 18" craftsman i have was always good to me when i needed it..

I suggest this too. At least you can get parts if you need it.
