Hello,

I have searched this forum for some time on opinions on using ebay building kits but haven't really found anything solid.

I live in Arizona and our summers are decently scorching. I have gone over the pros and cons on wood vs metal construction and have decided metal is the best for me in the long run.

The space will be primarily for small wood and metal work and random car repairs/projects. Currently looking at 24x24 and found this kit http://www.ebay.com/itm/Steel-Metal...d=141866403339&_trksid=p2045573.c100033.m2042 at a decent price I think.

I have found several contractors around the valley that price this size prefab metal building at $28,000 - $32,000 +/-.

I have the tools and equipment to do everything but the grading and slab.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Looks like a pretty good deal. Make sure they supply enough engineered drawings to make your local building code department happy. You'll also need to get a concrete contractor to give you a drawing for the slab with footers, piers, steel, mesh and all that stuff. Good luck on your project. Keep us posted on your progress. God bless.
