Good eye, I totally missed that. But a little further down there are some steel [silver] that are straight as well. I don't know why the difference but as long as they are munufactured and marketed as fitting a certain style plug then it should work. I just found out recently that a matching letter designation of couplers between different manufacturers do not mean they interchange. IE; an "e" type coupler from P.A. doesn't necessarily fit an "e" type fitting from Milton.

As long as ebay and home depot are selling the same manufacturers product, they should work together. I would be inclined to buy from the same outlet to save on possible warranty return hassles, and in that case usually local is better. And local also helps support the local economy.

Just note those eBay Euro ones are BSP, not NPT, so may not screw in properly to anything American. This is why I bought some Miltons on Amazon, purely to connect to American made air tools as none of my fittings would work.

I just found an article describing the differences between NPT, BSP and BSP straight thread and most important, where they are most commonly used. It says that NPT is the standard in USA and CANADA !!

Just be sure the fittings are "industrial interchange" and everything will fit. There are no high flow fittings in that standard but that doesn't mean some companies won't claim that.
