Is this craftsman clamp substantially different from the no-name one you linked to? The craftsman is a lot cheaper. Made by Wolfcraft, in Slovakia, I think.

Yes, just be sure you click "add to cart" first from all the various sellers. The total needs to be $75 BEFORE any taxes & shipping...

Thanks for the suggestion! I don't think the craftsman one is meant for welding. The bare metal where you hold the workpiece is an important feature, so that the current can flow down through the clamp. Otherwise it does look like a good alternative.

I wouldn't. The Bessey is $121 from Zoro with free shipping, only $91 shipped with a 25% off sale. I have two and they're really heavy duty.
