Interesting cabs. I have never seen that much legalese, contractual doublespeak in an eBay sale, ever. Translated, it says: "We're working for the government, so pay us the money up front and then drop dead."

I have that Safco cabinet at my work right now that came in damaged. Free for the taking but have no idea what to use it for??? The drawers are shallow and not rated for very much weight. Would love to figure out something instead of scrapping it.

I've got a pair of these that I acquired when the surveying firm I worked for was downsizing and scanning all their records. Each drawer has slides that extend 80% of the depth of the 26" deep drawer. Anyone who thinks these drawers cannot handle weight has never been handed a 1.25" thick stack of 24"x36" drawing mylars. These drawers will handle all the tools you can stack in them. NOTE: the cabinet tops are not capable of intense pounding as a workbench without having a butcher block or some other durable surface affixed to it.

I love mine, but you have to choose what tools you expect to put in the drawers since they are a little over 1" deep. I've found the drawers will take the shallowest Glad and or Rubbermaid storage containers. I use them to sort screws, nails and other hardware, because I don't have enough tools to fill ten 26"x38" drawers.

They were originally intended to store prints or maps, and can also be used to store photos or posters.

I agree 100% those drawers are very strong, and as far as it goes for ideas how to use it, look here: http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2299444&postcount=7348

My hand tools fit perfect in the drawers (wrenches, pliers, screw drivers...etc..) and for the power tools, i've combined the two bottom drawers and have now double the height (and two slides / 4 rollers) ).

I am already looking to buy another set of these cabinets in the near future (mine is almost full )
