eBay gripe

Not the end of the world, but...

I listed some tools here in classifieds, and on ebay, at around the same time.

Got a PM here first saying they definitely wanted the tools, so I went ahead and ended the ebay auction. There had been no bids, no fuss, no problem. Even got an email saying, "sorry your item didn't sell." (because, of course, I'd ended it early).

Maybe 12 minutes after that, I got an email saying, "your eBay item sold!"
someone had used a buy-it-now option, and already has sent payment, too.

What the hech?
Does it take ebay 12+ minutes to delete an auction, now?

I'd call eBay support and ask that they cancel the bid for you. I've had issues in the past and their support staff are actually pretty helpful in most cases.
