SOLD $76.00....coupon for 44" roller cab http://www.ebay.com/itm/HARBOR-FREI...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

They are counting on buyers looking at the picture and the price and buying without reading. That is why they don't use the picture of the actual coupon as the primary listing picture.
Why, any sane buyer will simply do a chargeback/return and win and the seller will end up with negative feedback, refund and Ebay dispute hassles.
It more likely some money laundering scheme.
Someone will buy it eventually. Not everyone is in the top 90% when it comes to intelligence.

This would qualify under seller protection actually. Buyer's remorse is not an acceptable out under eBay policy. The listing makes it quite clear if you read it that you are buying a coupon.
Also, you'd be surprised how many people might just feel embarassed and use it as a lesson.
Why does everyone always assume money laundering? There are a helluva lot better and more private ways to launder money.

in reality though, you gotta remember how many people will walk into HF and not use ANY coupons whatsoever... you pretty much give them money if you don't get 25% off and something free every time you go in. they are so close to me that i make purchases over the course of a few days so i can get 25% off on everything and get a free item every time

I can guarantee the buyer would win a SNAD because the main image is not representative of what's seeing sold. That's a violation of Ebay listing rules.
Inconsistencies between title, description and images result in SNAD victories for the buyer.
I bought two... when does my money arrive?money laundering. For anybody wondering it's a 44" Harbor Freight coupon for $99.99
All I can find is that you can't display a picture which doesn't have anything to do with what you are selling.
^^That would be the grounds for Ebay to rule in favor of the buyer.
There's an image of the toolbox but the seller is selling a piece of paper. The violation is that the seller's listing must only describe the exact item for sale. (via title, images and description)
If this were elevated to a dispute the buyer would win. Ebay does not like this kind of selling tactic.

From the description that made me laugh:
"THESE COUPONS ARE NOT SENT TO EVERYONE"
Yessir, only a select, privileged few of us are constantly inundated in the mail with these rare coupons.

This is how I bought my sliding 12" miter saw.
I didn't have the coupon, so i went on ebay and stole the code/sequence of the coupon off their picture in the listing and used it online.

Perhaps I'm learning something then. Can you send me a link to the policy about the main picture? All I can find is that you can't display a picture which doesn't have anything to do with what you are selling. Since there is a picture of the actual coupon I can't see that happening.
I use the coupons when I can, but 99% of the free stuff is garbage that I don't need. To each his own I guess.
