I sell these lights myself. Mine are more expensive, BUT, mine are CE, ROHS, and UL listed. same design, but way better quality than the ones in the ebay link. Also, mine carry a 3 year warranty. Also my HO version has 135 lumen/watt. I have thousands of the out in use and everyone loves them. When you figure starting new, the LED is the same or slightly less than the T5.
If I have them in stock my customers get them in less than a week.

Care to share some #'s as far as pricing goes? Any pictures of the lights installed?

The surface mount are $28. The retrofit are $22 I use these lights in my own shop and both machine sheds. The re customized to my specifications. They also use Cree chips and Phillips drivers. I did a lot of testing and sampling before I chose the one I wanted to sell. I actually ordered a couple of the ebay ones to compare. Lets just say they have since been burned because after looking inside them at the wiring and components, I wouldn't install them anywhere.

My retrofits are nothing like the sams club or menards. Mine use an all aluminum housing with machined aluminum end caps. The store bought ones that I have seen are all plastic.

I've bought 500 of the led lamps same ones in the ebay link, 200 were ordered yesterday of the 300 I've purchased every single person is impressed , I've left them outside running overnight no issues, froze them in the freezer no problem, threw one down the steps while it was working no problem, They are the exact same lamps that lowes sells for 40 each, if anybody is close to brighton Michigan and wants to try them I have a few here you can borrow, at 12.00 each. They are a great deal

Thanks for the review/info. Do you happen to have any pictures of them installed?

Just for the record: Anyone who claims to have one of these “Light Fixtures” (that’s right, it’s not a lamp) that is UL Listed is full of it or they’ve been duped by the Chinese. At best what’s really going on is the Chinese get legitimate “UL Classified” ratings for their UL1598C “Retrofit Lamps” (“lamps” have pins that fit into standard light fixture lamp holders), then illegally slap that label on these “Light Fixtures”. You’ll note that the pigtail plug that comes with them has no UL (or any NRTL) markings. If you’re lucky, you might get rubber plugs to stick in the other end – if you’re not lucky, you won’t get these plugs and you’ll have live accessible 120V contacts on one end.

now with 15 4' LED

these are my buddys pics

That looks really good! Do you know the size of the space these are in? I'm trying to figure out how many I'll need in two bay 24' x 21' space and single bay 11' x 21' space. I was originally thinking 3 rows of 3 equally spaced along the depth of the garage.

Take a root through lowes same fixtures as the ebay one, different name, the have a Ul rating for damp locations only, yes they don't come with a rubber plug for the end easy to solve for 30.00 cheaper fixtures.

Iirc his garage is 24x30

E472916 = Lamps, Self-ballasted, Light-emitting-diode Type - Component, G13 Lamp Base (aka: medium bi-pin). "The devices covered under this category are incomplete in certain constructional features or restricted in performance capabilities and are intended for use as components of complete equipment submitted for investigation rather than for direct separate installation in the field. THE FINAL ACCEPTANCE OF THE COMPONENT IS DEPENDENT UPON ITS INSTALLATION AND USE IN COMPLETE EQUIPMENT SUBMITTED TO UL."

They have another File:
E472915 = Light-emitting-diode Luminaire Retrofit Kits - Replaceable-type T8 self-ballasted LED lamp. "Retrofit kits intended for field installation in certified luminaires and office-furnishing lights".

Bottom line: Per their UL files, they do not have permission to put the UL mark on a lamp that isn't installed as a retrofit in an existing light fixture.

I really do not understand why you spend any time in these threads?
Might be time to stand down and to agree to disagree!

When someone with 3 posts pops in and claims to have these things for sale with UL Listings, I feel obligated to warn the general community as a public service bigredmf. No argument going on here.

I have what appear to be the identical lamps the OP linked to except I purchased them from the OEM in China and they're also UL Labelled (fraudulently). I purchased both clear and frosted lenses in 4000K CCT. I was just reviewing them for potential commercial applications, but had to reject them due to the UL issues mentioned.

UL stuff aside, these lamps look much better with frosted lenses. The clear lensed ones pretty much universally look like ****.

Clear lenses hurt your eyes I have clear retro fits in the basement without the covers they hurt, the frosted are perfect. If I had 20 foot ceilings the clear would be fine

Thanks for that feedback. I'm waiting on the eBay seller to get the frosted ones listed again.

I have been following this forum for a long time. Just didn't get an account until now.

Apparently you are the god of all knowledge. People come on here to learn things. I very well may have learned something. The UL number is obviously for the replacement bulbs I have. I am definitely going to ask the manufacturer about the ul number for these.

One thing I did learn is this will probably be my last post thanks to you. Like I said, people come here for information and to learn things. Then you plow in with this "I know everything, the rest of you are stupid" attitude. Judging by these and some of your other posts, you are just trying to smash down anyone that dares try to complete with you.

You say you are trying to do the public a favor by "protecting" them from these dangerous products. Got any injury or damage records you can show?

Myself and others would have learned a lot more had you come in here with a different attitude.

Geez - Get a grip JTP. Don't kill the messenger just cause you don't like the message. I come here to learn from others and pay it forward by sharing what I know. I see no reason to restrain myself because the facts make you uncomfortable. Blame yourself for starting off with all of your initial posts being self-promotional sales pitches.

I think there is a bunch of us who understand your message completely
As well as I don't like the messenger. You pollute all of these threads with the same drivel.
I have no idea why you fell compelled to bash these alternative lighting options.
In fact I don't care as to why so in a ideal world you will NOT respond.
You have a driven a number of members out of the discussion which I think is bad.

My fifty-two cents

25 arrived yesterday they appear to be bright bright, light and a high value. Compared to a low cost shop light they feel higher end.

Give me a few days and they will be installed in the shop. More pictures to follow.

I built a new barn that needs lights. I started reading these threads and I am having a hard time sifting through whats BS and whats not.

Yeah I can feel that, I want good workable light in my shop but I don't want to be a fool and blow money I didn't have to because I was told to buy lights made to survive a space shuttle crash.

I've decided I'm not going to let your attitude stop me from posting. I have the UL number for the surface mounted lights now. I am not going to give it to you because you don't need to know the company name. I will however, in the next couple days, post a screen shot from the UL website with the description of my lights with the listings. If that's not good enough for you I really don't care. Btw, they are also DLC and energy star rated. My lights are not exactly like the eBay ones. Same basic design but not exactly the same. I'm sure this will still not be good enough for you but I really don't care.
