$27.99 Craftsman V series 5-piece Torx Drivers

(made in France by Facom)

Not affiliated, just purchased a set.

Normally I’d buy these instantly but I’m trying to take control of my tool addiction.

I've been telling you guys I needed to thin the herd here for the last few years... figured I'd just start opening boxes and taking pictures.
Not sure if I'm doing it right at all - we'll see how it works out. Had a hell of a time getting it all set up with the banking thing and all.
Will try to get more posted today. Maybe I'll run into those goofy flashlight/screwdriver thingies I amassed a collection of a few years ago.
(I do manage to get some weird hairs jammed up my *** now and then.)

Maybe there can be an entire new thread made for your listings....

you can always click the "saved sellers" thingie on ebay.

everything I've listed so far has been little socket sets - that's the bulk of the collection here - and I've been posting them simultaneously here in the "1/4" drive socket set" thread as I go along.

as I've mentioned to a couple others, this is a painfully slow process. I am hoping I'll figure out a way to expedite this process.

New Carlyle r14td 1/4” drive ratchet , $16.99 + shipping. I have one of these and it has the smallest head width of any modern ratchet I’ve tried. 60 tooth and pretty smooth. It’s my go-to when my main 1/4” drive ratchet doesn’t fit.

^ "smallest head width" ???

you sure?

the model 2400 has been replaced with ... (?) 2426 (???) but the older models are still in abundance in the second-hand market. can also be found re-branded as "Powr-Kraft" I think tooth count is in the 40-45 range (?)

Very surprisingly yes! I was shocked because the Wright was my gold standard before this. But my Wright measures .820” (right in line with yours) and the Carlyle is .795”. The Wright still often comes out on top because as a round head there’s less meat at the neck. Here’s my tiny ratchet lineup.
IMG_7267.jpeg
From left to right, with measurements:
-Blackhawk 24991 .785”
-Carlyle r14td .795”
-Wright 2426 .820”
-Thorsen 77m .830”

So Blackhawk is the smallest I’ve found but it has 18 teeth and even after oiling it the clicks are about as smooth as a ride on an irate mule. Love it but definitely a tool for emergency use only. The other three all work pretty well and I just use whatever fits in the space best

@Chrome Vanadium Cody -

It's late. My memory is fuzzy.
Unless I'm mistaken, the later model 2426 is just a CH larger in diameter than the earlier model 2400.
My model 2426 measures .85 inches in outside diameter with my cheezie "General" calipers.
The earlier 2400 models come up on ebay now and then relatively cheap. Now and then a Powr-Kraft (the part number on the Powr-Kraft will have a "W" in it. - see photo image below.)

YMMV

That’s good to know. What I called my “2426” is technically the body of a 3430 3/8” compact ratchet I stole the kit from to put in a 2495 1/4” flex head ratchet to make a 3440… because Wright at some point changed the design on their 3440 to make it larger and I wanted one as small as I could get. I’ve thought about making a thread to try to track all the design variations in Wright 1/4” drive and 3/8” drive compact ratchets but not sure if other people are curious about these like I am. They are really my bread and butter a lot of the time

* you can't find a box this size this cheap, let alone with US made tools in it:

1270 Fleet ... 3/8" drive x 10" breaker bar

You are right on the price, but then you have to figure in how much more money yo can fit in that little box. And if you have avoided starting on Fleet, the purchases can escalate to more tool boxes quick enough. That $15 is going to cost me. Lol.

Added it to my watch list and got the same $8 offer. Seller also had a 3/8 drive Proto ratchet listed for $12 that was offered at $8 too. Bought both.

^ seller feedback:
"Though it is very hard to notice, these are counterfeit. Comparing these to a geniune dewalt the main difference is the font in the writing at the bottom. Also if you shine a flashlight into the pins you will see that they dont have copper contacts like the geniune batteries do"

This seems like a bargain to me. If I didn’t already have too many I would be all over this.

Great deal for someone here...

Koken Z-eal 3/8 drive ratchet, model 3725z. Appears unused. Not sure if it has the newer 72 tooth internals or not. I would buy it myself, but I'm happy with the 3/8" ratchets I currently have.

Depending on where you live it will cost you somewhere between $23 and $28 shipped. if you happen to live near Medical Lake, WA you can even select free pick-up instead of shipping and get it for $12.50 total!

3752Z is stamped on the shaft. That’s a Zeal ratchet. Which is the 72t mechanism.

The guy’s listing only has 3752 written in it.

German made, keyless, self tightening metabo chuck; 3/8-24 thread 3/8 capacity. Fits hand drills but I'll be using mine on drill press and/or lathe. Put in your watchlist and seller should drop it to 17$/per:

Got mines yesterday! imma put it on my Metabo drill. Mine seems to slip sometimes!
