One of the eBay reviews mentioned this - looks like the actual kit comes with open space in the top section; could be a win if you need some storage to supplement with additional tools. Best bet is probably to go by that last picture you posted which should show the actual tools included
Got mine today. The top is an empty “bin” space to add additional tools, as suggested.

The kit is, as expected, of rather low to middling quality, with tools from Taiwan, China, and Vietnam, packed in Mainline China. It’s about what I expected, given the price. The tools certainly won’t kick any of my SnapOn pieces out of bed, or even my Craftsman, SK, Crescent, Wright, or Husky, as far as that goes. The combination wrenches are pretty sketchy and limited in variety. Given that, the kit will serve the purpose of having something available at a site ten or twelve miles from the shop to do minor repairs, winterized the boat, etc, and the case has enough space to store pliers, additional combination wrenches, a hammer or two, etc.

Definitely a homeowner rather than a professional grade kit, but it will serve the purpose. I have to replace the garage door at the future home of this kit. It will be fine for that, as long as I bring a level, tape measure, and some bars to wind the torsion springs. If it does that without maiming me, I will consider it paid for.

Sort of wish I had bought one for my grandson, but, as a junior in high school, he’s likely progressed beyond this kit by now.

Just got the 205pc kit today. Without examining every piece, it’s pretty decent. Ratchets are typical 72 tooth quick release imports. Sockets are 6pt and look decent. Wrenches are smooth and high polish finish. Limited in variety and cheap. The blow mold box is actually pretty nice. The top tray/lid is empty storage.

Overall, I’d rank it somewhere around the Pittsburgh Pro level. It will be a great set of basic tools for my son. This would make a great salvage yard or trunk set. Definitely worth the $50 shipped, but not a whole lot more.

The drill press is solid enough, the equivalent of a Wen or similar.

Thank you gentlemen.

As I had expected: for the price, it will work just dandy for fixing the lawnmower or the kid's bike or assembling the new barbecue. (y)

I think I might grab something to park up at my mom's house as there are only a few screwdrivers and a couple pairs of pliers up there.

I agree 100% with the previously posed 205pc kit reviews, after a quick peek. It's worth $50 to me, quality looks below Gearwrench. *The Master Mechanic hose real is an awesome deal IMO guys* I received the other day, put in use tonight. It's nearly identical to much more expensive NAPA labeled reel I've been using at work... Hose may be different? Otherwise identical except colors.

Someone posted in the Amazon thread that an eBay seller has a bunch of "Master Mechanic" items (True Value brand?) on pretty deep clearance:

I can't give credit to the OP because I don't know who it was... a mod deleted his eBay posts because they were in the Amazon thread.
Thanks for this didn't really need to buy more **** but the hose real looks nice for $35 and the folding and rolling miter stand for $55 is also a good deal. Looks to be the same as the Bauer one from harbor freight that's normally $120

Just got my order delivered yesterday definitely the fastest shipping I've ever seen from eBay. The saw stand seems good for the price I paid. Of course I'm just a weekend warrior who wanted one to be able to roll my saw in and out of the garage so it works good for that. The hose reel I haven't used yet because I need to figure out where everything is going in my garage before mounting it but it seems great for the price.

Installed the hose reel last night. Hose feels similar to my flexzilla hoses, not hooked to air yet as this is just a secondary reel at the front of my shop, but seemed to be well worth the 39 dollars shipped.

Seller claimed " the manufacturer has indicated that this part is no longer in production/discontinued"
And tried to get me to cancel order

When I did not cancel they finally cancelled/refunded

I am guessing the true story is that they realized the price was way lower than they wanted to sell it (potentially at a loss)
Not overly happy about that but not much to do about it I guess

Predictable - relisted again at normal price

I would be less concerned if they were honest about the mistake - but I find the lying to be a problem.

Look how many negative reviews this seller has. Your review was one of over 400 negatives plus a 400 more neutral reviews. He's drop shipping ( he doesn't actually have inventory, he orders from somewhere else and gets it shipped to you and makes a few bucks on each order) The actual seller didn't have any when you ordered. Now they are back in stock, so the listing goes back up.

Edit: I had this happen to me a couple of times.

Oh I am not worried about them drop shipping (sadly half the listings are dropshippers)

But in this case I would bet money that there were exactly zero problems with their supplier. The problem was that they sold it at a price that would make them a loss - though of course they cannot admit that.

My guess is also that there is some negative flag on seller accounts for defaulting on orders, which is why they tried to trick me into cancelling the order.

I need to turn some small stuff in my lathe. I already have er20 collets for my drill but this is a good deal to upgrade capacity. We'll see how garbage those collets are. M10 drawbar but I think I have enough large bolts to make it work:

(Only received toolpost ;avoid)
I was planning to go w/a multifix system but this AXA copy popped up w/7 tool holders and looks like worth giving a try. I contacted seller and he said it does indeed include the tool holders (ad makes it dubious). Will report back if not the case. He accepted my 60$ shipped OBO. I believe the footprint is 2.5x2.5x3:

well ****, I guess I own two tool post kits now....hadn't bothered checking ali for multifix clones. Anyone dealt with deminimis tariff rules yet? Coupon didn't work so opened case w/agent.

I received the aliexpress multifix tool post clone and holders yesterday which was fairly fast. These may be tiny for mid-large lathe (there's lager models) but will work for my atlas compound. I see nothing seriously wrong w/them except maybe they're advertised as 12mm holdes and will fit but you lose some thread engagmeent for the set screws. I have 10mm tools so they're fine and I may be stressing over the 12mm engagement. One of the tool holders has special notches to hold round tools so that was a nice surprise.

I thought for sure the sub-800$ rule had gone away. Good to know.
Eliminated for shipments from China & Hong Kong as of last month. You will get a surprise customs fee on Temu, Alibaba, etc orders.
Rates are in flux 145% to 30% to ??

Ali didn't bill me on checkout. You're saying they're pulling fast ones one people? I though it was DHS that collected?

These came in; that was pretty fast. Fairly decent packaging and case. I thought I had long m10x1.5 bolts to make a draw bar but I don't. Turns out 3/8-16 threads into m10x1.5 (loosely). I got 8 turns worth of engagement w/a 3/8 rod I had. The collet holder runout was ~1/2 a thou in the taper without me cleaning neither the lathe nor turning the holder for 'optimal' run out. Good enough for weekend warrior I reckon.

Things only got worse from there :D. I started checking drills w/the collets and 2 out of the 5 I've checked so far are way out at 4 thou. I'll finished checking the rest tomorrow. I know there's ways to improve ER runout (cleaning burrs is the first obvious one) but I don't know if I can get 4 thou of improvement. I had a similar experience w/an er20 collet holder but the price was right and better collets cheap. I'll see if I can get a partial refund from seller to replace any unrecoverable ones. Keep in mind I went for bottom dollar (if you've noticed a pattern)...there's another kit w/maybe half as many collets and a blow molded case for about the same price. Those collets may be better.

Nobody's pulling fast ones. It's not the seller's concern. US Customs Service, if they choose to, will require the carrier to collect duties for them before releasing the package to you. For example, my co-worker had to pay 100%+ tariff on cheap shorts from Temu. Ouch.

yes but a "fast one" would be ali billing my card a customs fee after the fact w/o disclosing it. I fully expected to either have to pay the carrier (if tariffs on) or forfeit the package, not ali come collecting.

It is the seller's concern, since it increases cost to receive the shipment and therefore total cost of goods. If seller is not advising of the additional tariff cost at the time of order, they are not being honest with the customer.

On Temu at least one can select shipping from a US warehouse to avoid any custom tariffs. In addition, unless you a buying a LOT the shipment value would be under the di minimis rule and no tariff would be due. I haven't had tariffs on any Temu shipments but have stayed under the rule limit.

The de minimis rule seems to be in a state of flux. It was gone entirely so the tariff was 145% from China, then reduced to 30% and may now be a flat fee of $100 or $200, and $100 on $800 worth of goods (the de minimis max) is only 12.5%. Not sure where it is today, but I would find out before ordering to avoid a surprise. And the way things have been going with the tariff war, what you find out today may not apply to what you might receive in 15 days.

Just one data point, but I’ve placed a couple of orders from this vendor and the (free) shipping has been extremely fast.

Ordered a few hammers so will report once received
Had one recent order from this seller delivered, and another canceled and refunded because "there was a problem with the item". I don't know what that really means, but at least it all happened quickly.

I'm in for a couple of sledges!
Thank! In for a 6# and 8#. Estwing site considers these hammers to be officially licensed products, not made in USA but up to Estwings standards. Great for the price. I've purchased a bunch on Master Mechanic stuff from Spreetail and never any issue, always fast shipments.
