It was a listing error. The guy listed a bunch of stuff for like $7.81 or something like that, including $100 items. He cancelled the orders instead of taking a $1000 loss and fulfilling our greed. He's not a human being that made a mistake, he's a faceless ebay bot that deserves as much negative feedback as the forum can muster.

RickM - Lisle is/was a company kinda-sorta like KD Tool - specializing in "specialty" tools for the automotive repair industry. Both companies offered LOTS of outsourced stuff - there's no way they made every item - but for the most part quality was always first-rate on both lines.

On that "Torx" bit deal, I think you might want to take a look at this one - the guy has 67 of them left now - I think I paid about $4.50 for mine (but I ordered several other items from him at the same time):

Apparently there are some sellers in Asia who believe it's okay to lift watermarked photos from other Ebay sellers' ads and use them for their own purposes.
From what I understand, this somehow violates Ebay policies.
Either way, it looks damn fishy.

Buying "USA" tools from China is probably the first red flag there. I'll buy direct from China when I have to (rare earth magnets and usually certain types of LEDs are only made in China, so I've bought direct and never had a problem), but if it's just sketchy that they are selling something from china that was made in the USA.

If you watch for swench sets you can find deals. I bought an entire 1" drive set shipped for $250, came with the case, extensions, and all the sockets. I think I paid $200 for my 3/4 drive set. Just for giggles I bought a 1/2" drive swench, but I have not used it for anything.

Yep, I paid $200 for my 3/4" set off CL. They had it listed for $750, and I sent them a text once a month for like 4 months until they finally accepted $200.

Not exactly hot sellers.

Strouty, have you used yours a lot? I've used mine less than a handful of times because either the M18 Fuel 1/2" and/or Fuel 3/4" fits, or the 40" breaker bar works, so the swench mainly sits on the shelf in wait.
