Armstrong 1/2 Drive MAXX Ratchet- Description says it is an 88T ratchet (so that means it should be a post 2014 model). Accepted my offer of $40, so you might be able to try lower!
http://www.ebay.com/itm/222205964209?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

$42.56 is what this same ratchet would cost from zoro with a 30% off coupon, so this is the best price on the internet I can find.

Looks like the 3/8 is also a great price too:

Or if the Matco 1/2 drive is more your style, it's $75

Armstrong: The 3/8" is cheaper through Zoro right now with the 30% off but the 1/2" is only cheaper if you get it for about $42 or less through eBay. The seller on eBay has an excellent rating so not much to worry about I'd think but dealing with a company may be preferred in terms of dealing with issues down the line.

As I said, he accepted my offer for $40 on the 1/2, and may do even cheaper if you're willing to try!

I bought one of the 3/8" Armstrongs from that seller on a Saturday about 3 weeks ago and had package the next Wednesday. Great seller and a good deal.

Man, I'd love it he had the 11-994 3/8 flex head ratchet! I've been wanting one of those for a while, but never could justify the cost given all my other options in the toolbox. Thanks OP, I'll pick up a set of 11-992 and 12-992!

i got one for 35$ also, so we have to seen the bottom of that deal yet. at some point, he will only have a few left, and the price will go up . . . .

i wonder if he (she?) is sitting there wondering where all these 35$ best offers are coming from . . . . . .

i noticed that my paypal receipt lists Heather as the person the payment went to.

so it was her, rather than he.

i wonder how many just select the "but it now"? whenever i see "or best offer" i always go that route . . . .

I bought the 1/4" specifically because of its tooth count, among the highest out there :D

Had I not opted for Wright, I would have been all over these Armstrong ratchets

She accepted $19.50 for one of the Armstrong 3/8s.

I am looking forward to trying one of the armstrong ratchets, been using husky ratchets for years. However, the new husky ratchets are painted black instead of black chrome so the paint gets rubbed off, so I I am ready to try a new ratchet. Thanks for posting this deal

I've had a few of these ratchets including the flex head long handled versions for about 2 or some years now. They're my personal favourite. Very slim head, smooth ratcheting action, and comfortable.

If anyone is interested, I have this Husky 1/2 drive CS43 and one of the Thorsen 77JC ratchets to trade. The Husky is in nice shape but the Thorsen has been well used and the detent ball is recessed. I'm looking for an Action 1/2 drive, a Thorsen 1/4" drive or a Husky 1/4" drive.......from the same period as the ones in this ebay sale. I'm also looking for an Easco 3/8" drive round head with the raised panel. I can sweeten the pot with other stuff if you have other ratchets I might be interested in.

from the auction:

"Snap-On tool box work station. Some dirt and light rust mostly around the base. Some light wear, and scratches. This is from a now unused Snap-On salesman truck. This is for pick-up only. If you have any questions, please ask. Thank you. Forgot to mention, the top drawer is locked and have no key for it. "

http://www.ebay.com/itm//322243432894

i attached an image of the item. it appears to be a 24" deep snapon side box, with some kind of thing on top. oh, yeah, it has fancy drawers. from the factory.

if it were local, and i could get it for the entry bid, 100$, i admit i would get it, but i dont know if i would use it. as Pam Poovey said so well, "Holy Sh*t Snacks!"

damn, I realize shipping varies by location, but that's quite the difference. Says $22 to me.

^Same seller has 2 other 1/2" drive sockets sets available, from Easco and Blackhawk. Looks to be military surplus. I made a lowball offer on the Duro-Indestro before I saw the others.

Looks like a very nice set, very tempting. Thanks for sharing. Wish it would be a 6-point, though...

For you guys who know all about American tools, how would you position this set quality-wise? Let's say, in a range from US Craftsman (the most recent before they switched to China) to Snap On, would this set be closer to Craftsman or closer to Snap On? Or maybe this depends on what we mean with "better quality"? Any comment is appreciated!
