kr 547/557 (no top box) set, 350 or best offer. while i really dont need it, were i close enough, i would low ball him and see if i could get it for cheap. to be honest, 350 for the bottom, and the rare middle, doesn't seem bad. Henderson, Minnesota.

kra 5208 top box (doesn't fit above), a bit banged up, but for 154$ (current bid), seems like a good deal. waterford PA.

Wonder why "rshepherd70" backed out......

"...........for sale is Snap on 1/2 inch socket set box and set of sockets / wrench and bars ,(Tools are not snap on)"

lol the only thing snap on about that auction is the box/plastic tray. :lol_hitti

The guy clearly says as much but like really? Just going to end up with an upset buyer

I think the above is a great deal. I can't understand all your lol's and faces.

By the way, I am selling my 2015 Mercedes CE 300.
Relisted due to a time waster who bought it and then decided not to pay. Iditot.
Engine, transmision, axles, wheels, electrics, electronics, air condition, and chassis are not Mercedes.
Chassis is from a Volkswagen Jetta.
Engine, transmission, and other parts are from a good quality third party provider (I think in China).
This is a good car for someone (but I don't know who).

(OK OK, I know it's not the same. But I couldn't resist :bounce: )

Apparently, that is the case
Only 8 - 10 - 11 - 12 - 13 - 16 - 17 - 18 - 19mm included

These seem to be common sizes on European cars.

Would a more complete set be better?

I generally like to have complete sets, but if I happen to come across and procure incomplete sets, I tend to patch them up overtime.

and they have 16, but left out 9, 14, and 15?

This looks nice,

About $70 including shipping (duty free)

FACOM FRANCE ANGLED 9 piece SOCKET WRENCH SET 9 PIECES IN BOX 8mm - 19mm

Does it seem worth it?

Personally, any metric set without a 14mm is a no-go for me. I just like to have the "Japanese" sequence 7-8-10-12-14-17-19, plus the 13mm for German or similar stuff.

I know that this may not be an issue for most of you, but I am quite sure that these are not Facom "made in France" (with France stamped on them), but just Facom (the French brand) without any COO. Made according to my best knowledge in Taiwan. I am not 100% sure, but there are older posts that disucss Facom. Screwdrivers, hex wrenches etc. are still stamped France, but not regular wrenches, sockets, etc. I have the made in France version of these wrenches in larger sizes (17mm-32mm or so), but I don't use them much - I see myself grabbing sockets or regular wrenches more often.

Of course, if they are made in Taiwan, they still can be excellent quality. But some people may expect them to be made in France, given that the seller says "Facom France".

Thanks for sharinig, this is in my opinion a good price for Facom tools.

interesting that you mention this. i dont think of "made in France" as being a feature. i would assume that Taiwan would do a better job of making tools, but i understand that this is just my bias, not necessarily based in fact.

In the past the French made Facom was some of the best stuff you could get, up there with anyone else.
I have a dozen or so of those in larger sizes of the French made type and some Taiwan made in the smaller sizes Stanley branded, sometime I will fill in the gaps. They are little used but sometimes great to have.

Facom doesn't manufacture those tube wrenches, it's a rebrand. The name slipped my mind, but someone on this forum knows.

And your's appear to be Made in France.

Just came across this as well on Proto's website,
http://www.protoindustrial.com/en/i...10-Piece-Angled-Socket-Wrench-Set---6-Point-/

From my understanding, Proto's tools either comes from North America and Europe. Not aware of any coming from Taiwan, other than their current Blackhawk line.

Best thing to do as far as the eBay Sellers, is to send an inquiry on the COO.

Those wrenches do look pretty though, there's a lot we can do nowadays with a flex ratchet. However, I'm pretty sure it'd be far safer to use put a pipe on the other end for greater leverage.

These are the ones I have. I admit not completely the same.

The black ratcheting wrenches from Proto are made in Taiwan, as well as many of their specialty tools like compression tester and brake caliper tool. On the other hand Blackhawk chrome sockets are still largely US made.
