Significantly better, its too bad Armstrong is no longer on radar now; must be a liquidation going on via so-called surplus sellers. I'm sure the lifetime guarantee on these clamps will still be applicable though but replaced with something inferior.

How is the quality on those Armstrong c-clamps? I would assume they would be a significant upgrade from my HF clamps?

Any deals on single-piece c-clamps? Six clamps was almost too much to handle there unless you're working at a fabrication plant of some sought.

Compared to your HF? They're forged, and your HF are probably cast. I wouldn't be surprised if they can survive a higher tensile strength but would need to find the manufacturer's info to prove that to be true. That being said, they are just clamps.

I bought 6 though, way too good a deal when it was 60 bucks for 6 clamps w/ free shipping so I jumped then.

I agree, real shame about armstrong. I'm a big fan of their ratchets.

Yes, those Armstrongs are the Same oem as the Bluepoints, very strong clamps, I've used them to press in bearings!

The Armstrong C-Clamps that jbcpwc posted are quite impressive. My order showed up today. I vacillated on ordering them when first posted and finally decided to buy them when there was one left on the first listing. Scale and soda can added for size reference. They are surprisingly large and the screw is very well fitted with minimal slop. I am glad I sprang for them.
