This set of Dent Fix Anchor Bite automatic locking pliers goes for $135 on the company's website, and the cheapest I could find it anywhere else is around $120. I offered $40 and it was accepted, but even at $48, these are a great deal. I haven't had a chance to use them yet, but I like them a lot:

Looks like quality stuff, I did some research and found COO is China if tat matters to anyone.

$40 offer accepted within a couple minutes. i feel like i left money on the table... :headscrat
If it makes you feel better, I offered $38 and it was automatically rejected. Then I offered $40 and it was quickly accepted. After I bought the set, I saw the posting get updated to $40 with no best offer option. Then a couple days later, it was updated back to $48 with the best offer option.

I think $40 is the best they'll accept.

Fluke 27/FM; $38 delivered used on Ebay

These were special built model 27 meters for the US military. The /FM suffix adds true RMS measurement capability. This means more accurate AC Volt measurements in some cases. They are even designed to be used in explosive environments.

The real reason to get them is they are built like a tank, very accurate, and have nice features. It has min/max measurements where it will record the min or max reading. I really like this for measuring how low the voltage dropped on your car battery when starting to see if you have a bad battery. It makes it a 1 person job. I also really like the relative measurements. You can zero out the resistance of your leads for low resistance measurements. I have several 27/FM meters and they read the exact same readings compared to my newer Fluke 87 meters.

You just need to add leads. So for about $50 total you can have a great meter that will last a long time.

Nice find, which leads would you recommend?

That meter doesn't measure hertz, does it? I'm looking for an inexpensive meter than can do frequency.

Thanks Tool Scrounge, I grabbed one. I bought some Brymen leads, there were some reviews that were good on them.

I know there were a few posts in this thread inquiring and I'm going to ask as well......does anyone have any idea what happened to four.cycle? He was posting 10-20 a day and then completely stopped without saying a word (not just this thread but all of garagejournal). Hope all is well.

Busy with other stuff. Didn't have enough time for this.

Only real "deal" I've seen lately anybody here might be interested in is a guy in Texas who's got a mess of model 708 Proto 8-inch adjustable wrenches. Brand new. $9.99 OBO incl. shipping.
I got a pair of them for $9.00 bucks a pop. I suppose you could push and see if you could get them for less - I figured $9.00 was damn reasonable for brand new Proto. Not bad:

you've got to wonder what these vendors think when over the course of two or three hours they sell a dozen of something, especially when they have been selling one a day for a week or two.

Thanks all.

a52-830 - good question, but with as many online venues that exist for broadcasting a message to a wide audience, I wouldn't think it should be too great a surprise.

I will keep you guys posted if I run into anything that looks really good, like that Proto adjustable.
I just don't have time to pick through hundreds of listings every day - I've got too many other irons in the fire here now.

I should note here that over the course of the last 6 to 8 months, I have seen what I believe is a significant decline in sales of used tools on Ebay. I am not seeing so many crazy bidding wars on stuff, and I am seeing a LOT of auction items going for a single bid.
I think buyers are nervous about money, inflation, the economy, or perhaps all of the above. There's also the possibility that market saturation has caused things to flatten out.

I think its a little of both four.cycle, combination of inflation and saturated market. Its going to be an interesting year next year in terms of interest rates. There is a slight chance of a recession occurring as per some economists in the years to come

Thanks all.
