Just so ya know Ebay has a habit of turning on best offer and setting the auto decline amount by themselves. So the sellers tend to ignore those because they didnt want it in the first place. No opt out.

Yes, I noticed that when I listed an item for BIN and then started getting crazy lowball offers. Now I know to turn it off since it is set on by default, but other sellers may not have realized.

I'm going to guess it's fixed priced listings. I do fixed price and mine are automatically renewed. I always have obo in my ads so I couldn't say if they'd ad that to my automatically renewed listings.

I could see them checking some boxes as default on a relist such as Best Offer. Interesting, it appears that it is targeted by seller.

When I put up new listings, I have to remember to turn off OBO (I do auction listings, and rarely fixed price). But this week, ebay started turning on the OBO on relistings. One specific auction, I got an email saying basically 'we turned on OBO for you, so that your item will sell', and the OBO is 1/2 my start price.

It's so annoying, I'm not in a hurry to sell things, and my start price is my lowest price, not 1/2 of that.

Interestingly, I put this on my "watch list" about an hour ago, and just received a "seller is making a special offer" email offering me the item for $11.88

* When I first found these listed I thought they looked awfully familiar, but I wasn't quite sure.
The 11-inch diagonal cutters are indeed a model 34025 Tekton (with the brand name and part number partially buzzed off.) According to Tekton's website, these were outsourced from China.



Still half as much as anywhere else.

No.. the pair I got is perfect other than the Tekton name and part number being buzzed off.
Same with the needle-nose. Both of them look fine other than no manufacturer's markings.
