I know decent ebay coupons are as rare as hen's teeth, but anybody who pays more attention than I know the history on the discount tire promo that has run the last several years?

has happened for the past few years, at least. if you can get a tire/size on sale/clearance, it can work out to be a great deal. i got some blizzaks a couple years ago for something like $40-something apiece.

I think it’s offered around April and October every year. $100 off $400? Tires are usually available on eBay in sets of 1, 2 or 4.

I have both and reach for the Armstrong every time the only thing I like better than the Armstrong on the sk lp90 is the selector is very stiff and will not accidentally reverse. I like the Armstrong better because I prefer ratchets that can keep my knuckles as close to 90 degrees as possible. The Armstrong's are also thinner a bit I think.
Please buy this before I do. I have a Armstrong thin head 88. The SK is similar . This is a 3/8 LP90. https://www.ebay.com/itm/402262038233

Check your Ebay accounts for a $10 off $20 or more coupon. It's targeted so not everyone will have one. Showed up in my account today. Mine expires on the 9th.

measuredtwice,

Just to make sure I'm not missing something...

What do you mean by "Check you Ebay accounts..."?

Do I just login and it Pops Up or do I have to go to some specific page on eBay?

Thanks!

Best regards,

Scott

Eron no. 75 bench vise.

Eron (aka Nabiya) is a Japanese company that currently specializes machine vises and clamping equipment. They have been around since 1560. The also make some bench vises. The designs looked to be derived from British Record vises, but the quality been very good on the ones I have owned. These 3" swivel vises are NOS. $55 + Free shipping. 3 in stock.

Urrea 1/2" drive torque wrench 20-150 ft lbs (New)

The seller had 3 and I have one on the way, so 2 left. I thought it was a pretty good deal, even after paying shipping. It's made in the USA and looks like a CDI made torque wrench to me, but I'm no expert. I have a similar 3/8" version that I bought a few years back, and I like it.

These are definitely CDI US made torque wrenches. I have several different versions of them that I got from Amazon for a song.

Looks like the seller has more NOS Eron vises, but they are now charging for shipping. I would be curious to hear from the Garage Journal folks who bought the vises on their impressions.

There was a post regarding an eBay item that has been sucked into the post June 27th Garage Journal Memory Hole regarding EREM 2442P ESD Flat Nose Plier,5-3/4 in.,Smooth
.
Did anyone here buy one of those?
I bought one but the seller hasn't indicated that it has shipped. I was wondering what other purchaser's experience had been.

Best regards,

Scott
Bought a pair the week before they were posted here, got them in about 5 days. Maybe the seller got behind with the sudden influx of orders and it being a holiday week in the US.

mrspeed,

Good to hear... do you recall if the seller indicated they had been shipped or provided a tracking number?

...or did it just show up in the mail?

Best regards,

Scott

Just checked my emails. I got a notification that it was shipped 3 days after ordering, then received it 2 days after that.

Edit: There was a tracking number in the notification sent 3 days after ordering.

I guess it's worth 55$ I doubt it's made in Japan. No markings at all plain brown box. Needed to be deep cleaned as the gear was covered in dry sticky oil. Overall I guess it's worth the price.

I was pleased with my Eron vise purchase. $55 shipped was a very good price IMO, doubt I would have paid double though, which is the current asking price. Way tighter than my HF 4" vise.

The delivery was promised for no later than JUly 6th - I sent the seller a query via eBay 3-1/2 days ago (evening of July 7th) asking for an estimated shipping date. I have received no response.

I just sent a follow-up eBay message that starts to get eBay involved if I don't receive a response from the seller in the next 72 hours.

I hope they're OK! Seems like eBay should be able to help out especially when it's documented in their own system that it hasn't been sent. I always fear the seller fakes sending something, making it even harder.

Here's another deal:

Baby Graf 16/20 Hog Ring Pliers - Made In France - $9.95 plus shipping

mrspeed,

I am confident that eBay will do the right thing in a couple of days when their deadline for a response from the seller hits.

I just checked the seller's feedback again. It had been pristine - if a rather small total number - feedback. Today I found the first negative from a buyer and it was for a non-delivery of the same item I purchased.

Best regards,

Scott
