I keep a good supply of repair kits for the round head Facom/USAG/Proto/Mac/etc ratchets. The master kits are on sale and the tube of grease that comes with these will last you many years. The round head ratchets will tend to stick or slip when the grease dries out from lack of use. These will often come back to life (without taking them apart) with a little penetrating oil around the head and rotating the drive in both directions. If you need to take them apart, here's the simple directions.

over and over and over I see "flare nut wrench" threads and discussions/arguments about whose is better.
I try to stay out of the fray, but when I see what some of the guys here are paying for these things I want to cry.
I've owned my Indestro flare nut wrenches for about 50 years or so. I don't work in a steam plant, and I'm not in the rust belt, but so far they seem to be holding up nicely. They've got to be at least as good as anything S-K cranked out. Maybe better.

I've had those Duro/Indestro flare wrenches in my watch list for years (or at least it seems). I've always wanted to buy them, but just have not. They are not fast movers, or they had lots of them. lol

Sent an inquiry to the seller of those black Crescent adjustable wrenches in the post just above asking about Country of Origin.
Answer coming back: "USA".
I remain somewhat skeptical, as the 4-inch model he is selling (see post #4958) is very clearly marked "U.S.A."
Again, I am not familiar enough with Crescent to be able to know for certain.
