I don't know if anyone here has seen his items but his name is Brokntool and sells all Mac tools, some are broken and some aren't! There may be something up with this sellers auctions, everytime I bid on something the same bidder comes right behind me and bids with a higher price, but when I looked through the rest of the tools this same bidder has bid on about everything else! When you look at the feedback of this bidder and it's 570 positive feedbacks he has bought nothing but mac tools from Brokntool but has left no feedback for brokntool! Seems kind of fishy to me, or maybe i'm jumping to conclusions but everytime I bid on something this same bidder comes right behind me and bids till it's no worth buying!

I don't think I would mess with it... too many oter people selling MAC tools on ebay.

Or you could just go to Walmart and buy Stanley tools.

(sorry... just stirrin' the pot )

Only the first feedback you leave counts, so many repeat buyers don't bother.

Why bid on it before the last 2 seconds of the auction? If you want to shop on ebay you need to get a sniping program.

In my opinion that defeats the purpose of a auction...I see something I want, I decide how much I want to pay, bid on it and walk away, sometimes a few days later I win, sometimes I don't.

Snipers only bring the price up for everyone else...but you want to pay more, go ahead and snipe.

Disagree. Since I began using a sniping program I find that I am paying substantially less on the whole than before. The difference is not in the predetermined max bid amount, it is in the timing of the placement of the bid. Yes, I still lose some auctions when those I am bidding against have a higher max bid in the system, but my savings is typically against incremental bidders who never bid more than a few dollars over an opponent's last bid. Not showing your hole card is a sound strategy.

Yeah..you got that totally backwards......

Bids do not go up for everyone else and the sniper wins and pays less...

I have to disagree too! Put it this way; if the Sellers want you to bid early (and they do!) I can assure you it's because it's in their best interests. They don't care who buys their item, just that they get the highest price (obviously).

The only bid sniper I use are my hands. I think its unfair to use a program to do it. I babysit auctions all the time and win a lot of them by sniping, but I'm the one doing it, not some computer program someone wrote.

This sounds like a major scam going on. :rocker:

I don't think I would've bought anything from the guy anyway; all of his tools are broken.

Sniping does exactly the opposite.

Sniping
I decide how much I want to pay, put my max bid in the sniping system and go away. 5 seconds before the auction ends it places my bid or trys to.

Non Sniping.
I decide how much I want to pay and place the max bid. Other "potential" bidders see my bid which increases their interest, some will bid until my max is found and then retract, some will snipe, and some will place a bid and instantly see if it is higher or lower than my bid, and often they will bid several times.

I've bought tools from brokentool. They're as described, but ehh, just pretty worked.

I don't recall anybody bidding up the price, but then I didn't look for that.

Sounds like it could be a shill.
