$70 AND $21.72 shipping to my doorstep! For only $91.72 I could own that beautiful set?

Take a look at this guy's other items for some more really sane and levelheaded pricing!

WOW! I could expand that awesome set of wrenches with the other wrenches he sells at really (UN)reasonable prices.

What an *** clown. How does this guy have over two thousand transactions. And a 100% feedback to boot. Man, sometimes I really hate having a conscience. I could be ripping people off like this, and then just flaunt it in their face too............

Let's get to know Ron a little, check this link...........:lol_hitti

Oh yeah! It gets even better. You gotta respect the first sentence on his other website
"Insurance/Estate Appraisal Services

We can provide honest and accurate valuations of Ham radio equipment for insurance or estate purposes."------- Yeah, I bet you can, I bet this guy has been put on all of the insurance companies blacklists.

Holy schit, this tops it all off! Ron has been kind enough to create a website for us, that contains all of his written essays. My favorite is entitled, "Read my essay on Moral Issues and Faith Formation".

You can learn from the  master here........... http://www.kz7p.com/

Bad Ron! :twak:BAD! :bitchslap:twak:

I wouldnt call him a thief, just a guy that will contribute 20 listings before selling. I just sold the metric (some used, most not) version of that set and had to list 2x to get $16.

My bet is he's hoping some guy will send a "lowball" offer of $40.

I think he's more tool ignorant than theif. I'd offer him $1 but I'm afraid I'd win and end up paying more than I would at HF when you figure in the shipping

I wouldn't buy from these types of sellers but they exist in just about every line of business. How many automotive service writers do you know that encourage unneeded work or sell those overpriced preventive maintenance packages when the manufacturer's service recommendations are mostly visual inspections and basic lubrication? In my eyes, those actions are thievery too. Buyers need to know what they need and what the going market price is for the item they want to buy.

When I'm in the market for something, I'll often check Ebay to see if there are any good deals but on lots of common items, I can get a better delivered price from Amazon or another reputable internet seller than going with an Ebay seller with overpriced shipping (although shipping is expensive, asking anything more than retail UPS/USPS/Fedex rates is robbery, with very few exceptions like special packaging requirements).

I see that a lot on my local Craigslist. Just last week, someone listed the HF tap and die set that is $12 at the store for $70...he even copied the description from the website, word for word.

Ignorant or not, he's hardly stealing anything from you, except for maybe the time that you spent fretting and posting about it. He's put a product out there for sale, and you can buy it or you can walk away. If you pay too much for it, that's all on you.

Guy's I think you're overreacting... I'm pretty sure the ebay seller will accept a HF 20% coupon. After 20% off, now it's a great deal.:lol_hitti

He may not be technically stealing, as in not breaking any laws.

But it's certainly unethical and just flat out rotten. Like someone above said, if I didn't have a conscious, I'd do the same thing....but then we'd have a nation chock full of a-holes.

What determines an ethical price for an item, say these wrenches?

It's not any more unethical than buying snap on tools and reselling for profitnon eBay. Just a crummy deal is all. No harm, and just proof buyers need to be educated.
