Just won a slightly battered KRL756A,
Needs work , 2 drawer runners off , lock u/s and draws jammed or not going all the way back. I'm thinking its the locking bar causing some of the mischief ,
Any hints on pulling the drawers out?

I've just repainted a Snap-on toolchest, the lock was caput but I'll manage without, but the drawers pull out with the help of the flat spring steel tool supplied with the box!!!!that slides behind the runner which provides a smooth surface over which thelimit stop can ride without locking.Good luck with your refurb.

Congrats, looks like a project. On the plus side it doesn't look rusted out. Down side, looks like it is going to take a few or more hammer hits, pliers and more than likely some choice words to get it back straight. But the no rust is a real plus. Post up some pics when you get it.

Got the box home, surprised how big it is in the flesh and pleasantly surprised in its condition (apart from the lock bar damage) ,
it's ex forces surplus by the paperwork I found jammed in the back.

At some point the lock has been forced and torn/ chewed out a 1" by 2" piece in the back , and its missing one slider and two others are stiff with metal swarf

I think the lock problems were caused by a dent in the back causing the dropping locking plates to be derailed and jamming the drawers , but that's all just been clunked back in with block of wood and a hammer

Can any one take a picture of the inside back , inline with the locking bar ? It may just be angled stop plate to stop the rod turning more than 180
