Depends which side of the pond you are on, over here on the right hand side in England where we speak the Queens English, vice is the correct spelling, along with tyre and colour.

Guess you chaps over there just made up your own version of our language....lol

Yes your right it should be Queen's but that is grammar and i was discussing spelling.

I guess that you improving our language is just like the Harrier jump jet that you improved and try to claim as your own.....lol.

I liked that. True nuff. I am not to keen on what sound like knocks against Brits or England to me. England is this countys closest and most trusted partner on the world stage, or at least the one country that generally speaking has always stood by our side during tough times. I have never been to England, but it is one of the few counties that I would be comfortable leaving American soil to visit. Not all of us here, even some rednecks like me drag our knuckles about and have sloping foreheads!

Thanks for the comment Uncle Buck, this will be my last post in this thread or i can see things getting out of hand and we are already a mile away from the original subject.

I have visited the US twice, i love the country and the people, The Henry Ford Museum is awesome. When in the US i do feel more at home and comfortable than i do in say France, even though France is that close you can see it from England. It's not just the language thing, you Americans are warm and genuinely friendly, not just trying to make a quick buck from the tourist.

America is one of our few Allies, you have supported us Brits on more than one occasion and got us out of the ****, not like the rest of Europe who have created the ****.

So come on Uncle Buck, get your passport and visit us, you will feel at home, apart from driving on the wrong side of the road and London is great this time of year.

+1

Been there a few times...plus my sister and her husband and kids live there.

England has a lot to offer for anyone thinking of taking a trip there.

That should be "you're" right. I'm sorry bt one of my best friends lives in High Wycombe and he's the self-appointed apostrophe bobbie!

I love the Harrier, got a ride in a NASA one maybe 20 years ago. Amazing plane.....
