Ebay wrench set - is it worth it?

I've become a little bit of a Proto nut and started bidding on this wrench set:

But the bid has gotten above my $155 max and I'm getting a little nervous that with shipping it's going to be over $180, so I'm figuring I fought the good fight and let the kid have it.

What do you guys think is this wrench set bid too high at this point.

Thing is I don't really need metric wrenches this big very often, it goes up to 32 mm, for standard car and motorcycle work, so it would be nice to have but probably not going to use a lot of it. But I might need them for things like swing arm bolts and hub nuts, you know if you need a huge wrench it's nice to already have it, and with this set I think anyone would be set as far as metric wrenches. Also it's Proto "professional" rather than ASD not sure what that means.

Anyways, is this wrench set a good deal or too expensive?

I wouldn't bid anymore. Lately I have seen a lot of sellers driving the bids up. Not long ago I was bidding on a proto indexing ratchet and got out bid in the last 5 minutes. Next day I get an email, from the seller, saying he would sell it to me for the price I bid. Since it was what I was willing to pay I still bought it, but that is BS to me.

satin finish (bleh), no flank drive-type feature on open end, mismatched 9mm..

i regularly need 8mm, so that also hurts its value to me. that said, wright's '958' set (7-24mm - http://www.royalsupply.com/store/pc/WRI-958-2458p51552.htm) is ~$215/220 and doesn't include the 'big boys' in that proto set. i just won't buy any new open end wrenches that don't have the flank drive type feature.

I also thought about bidding on that set, but was leary because of the gray pouch. Instead I went ahead and bought the 15 piece 7-21mm set on amazon for $147.00 w/free shipping and no tax.

I've been eyeballing that exact wrench set. Screw it, I'm getting it. Ohhhh, maybe I should I wait. This is what I'm talking about with the disease of tool addiction. For me I think they charge tax, though, works out to close to 10% I think. If there was no tax I think I'd pull the trigger right now.

I like them. I am also partial to Proto aswell. I've been bying a lot of proto lately.
