Good business? He clearly states on the picture and the discription whether you are buying a single item or the complete set. If this confuses you, maybe you should stay away from ebay.

Yeah, just another reason to read the listings a little closer. I've seen the same ploy used with ratchets and wrenches lately. At least this guy has a screwdriver separated from the rest of the set in the picture. Still **** though.:wtf:

That actually took me a little while to catch. And had I been caught up in the bidding war of it all, I would have missed it completely.

I didnt read everything and I missed it at first. but once I enlarged the pic I saw it.
This is a new way to get people just like the phrase " On Snap in rail" bet that one has snagged a bunch of sales.

This is a total bs listing. I'd never bid because I couldn't trust the guy. So, yeah, it's in writing, but an a$$ just the same.

I don't understand why some of you have beef over the listing. I read it just fine. I mean, if you weren't careful, that is your own problem. Seems a bit rash going to bash the seller because you got caught up in the bidding war.

When you are selling ONE item, why would you have the lead picture be of a SET of items that are NOT for sale?

Discuss.

The first words in the auction are:

BRAND NEW "SNAP-ON 500" LIMITED EDITION STRAIGHT-TIP SCREWDRIVER. LARGEST IN THE SET (SEE PIC) SINGLE DRIVER FOR SALE- NOT THE SET

Seems obvious enough to me.

Yeah.. Umm i didnt bash the seller nor would i fall for such business tactics. I do feel its a somewhat a misreputation of his auction, Yes he clearly states what you are bidding on but i would be willing to bet the winner will be dissapointed. Maybe not... IS a single white screwdriver worth $50 shipped?

I think you should only be allowed a photo of the item you are selling and not be able to feature the rest of the set with it. It would cure most of the issues.

You guys are right, I am stupid and should stay away from Ebay.:wtf: I wouldn't spend that knid of money of a single screwdriver but, that's just me. If you're selling one item, only display the one item. It makes things easier for us dimwits. I would also like the word Snap on removed from all auctions that are not for a tool marked Snap on. That's right, all of those williams, Bahco, Blue Point, similiar to Snap on, sold by Snap on, not Snap on, etc. should be banished. It won't happen but, it's a nice dream.

Its a dirty trick IMHO.

At first glance it looks like the set is up for bids (yeah i see where he clarified it in the listing and the pic).

No doubt in my mind his intent was to deceive and hope some buyers would not be diligent and read the listing. Hoping for an idiot in a hurry.

Pics and descriptions should be of only the item for sale.
