If there are any test-specific study-guide materials available, get them.
I'm a Communications Contractor, so the test was much shorter, but according to EC's I've talked to it's similar in an important way: some of the answers are matters of opinion, and you need to know whose opinion counts. Two questions that are stuck in my memory:
"Upon arriving at the job site, what is the first thing you should do?"
and
"Which of the following tools should be matched to the user's physical characteristics?"
In neither case was the "correct" answer the one I considered obvious. I aced the test, but only because I had the study materials!
