First time post. I'm about to take on a DIY epoxy floor for my garage floor (700 Sq. ft.). The garage floor is in great shape, but has an old/cheap epoxy coating on the floor. It's never peeled/flaked and is in good shape. I want to remove it before starting with my new 100% solids epoxy floor. I spoke with my local rental center about renting the Edco single disc electric grinder. However, i'm not sure what grinder attachment to use. He seemed concerned that the grinder would "gum up". I've used a small diamond grinder and it comes up really easy. Any recommendation on what type of attachment to use on the Edco grinder? If it helps I've attached a picture of the floor with the small area I ran the my small diamond grinder over. Thanks for the help.
