I'm getting started on grinding my brand new concrete floor (3500 psi fibercrete) that has previously been sanded with 80-grit. I am diamond grinding with an electric Edco single head with DYMA-Serts rented from my local hardware store.
Diamabrushs are not available from any HD within two hours drive of me.
so far, I've got about 70-80 sqft done in about 90 minutes. That's a production rate of 40-50 sqft per hour. I have 1000 sqft to grind, its going to take me 20 hours!
I already ground the edges with my angle grinder and the Dewalt diamond head - the material removal rate seemed way higher.
Is this the expected pace? Or am I doing something wrong? I've watched the Edco training videos on YouTube, so I think I"m using the machine correctly.
How often do you flip the DYMA-Serts?
Thanks,
