Edco single disk (110) - too much?

Read alot about the diamabrush attachment to a floor polisher for epoxy prep. My floor is in good shape and is pretty even. Saw Home Depot rents the Edco - is this too much power for a pretty basic prep job?

The Edco unit works fine for concrete ginder. Just don't let it linger too long without moving or you can leave ridge marks.

Edco is great for grinding and smoothing out, if floor in good shape like it seems the Diamabrush works well to scratch up and prep.

I ended using my 4" grinder and cup to get the spots that still seemed pretty smooth after the EDCO. Probably about 25 pct of the total surface. May have been overkill but that's okay
