Relatively new member here, long-time lurker.

I'm putting down epoxy floor this week and will be renting a grinder tomorrow. I have two options: the Diamabrush on a Clark from HD -or- a Edco TL-9. Here is a link:

http://www.edcoinc.com/products/view/direct-drive-grinder/

I've read everything I could find on the forums about concrete preparation. I was set on the Diamabrush, but it was already rented and no firm ETA on when I might be able to get my hands on it. I began looking at other options and came across a rental place nearby that has this Edco TL-9. This is not the typical 10" Edco grinder that I see mentioned often on the forums. Anyone have any experience with this grinder or opinions?

I have a new garage floor, just over 30 days old. Although my contractor informed me that it was hand troweled, it is very smooth and I'm guessing that it may indeed be powered troweled.

Thanks in advance.

Hi
All Edco grinders are good machines. This Edco should do just fine, and may work better than a Diamabrush depending on your application. We have had many customers use these types of Edco's.

That little Edco is especially good for power-troweled concrete.
I like the Diamabrush too.

This job is being done with combination of both.

readonly - did you end up using the TL9? How did it go? In a similar situation here.
