I searched the forum but didn't find anything about this.

Any of you used one of these? That little thing might help supplement house heating, but could it do much in a garage? I'm looking for something just to take the chill of. I could wheel it wherever I'm working, doesn't need to heat my entire barn.
I like that it's portable and doesn't need venting.

Just thought I'd see what you guys thought about this.

Thanks.

That look pretty much the same as a Sun-Twin, except the color of the cabinet.

I used a Sun-Twin 1500 last winter in the room above my detached garage. Previously I used two 1500 watt ceramic heaters. They hardly ever cycled off. The Sun-Twin was turned on constantly from mid Oct. thru late March. It would heat the room adequately. The room is 18' X 34'. There also is a closet that is 4' X 34'. The garage is unheated and can get really cold by mid winter. Once the solid concrete walls get cold, they seem to stay that way.

Even with all that cold down below the upstairs stays toasty. The electric bill got cut by at least half, plus I was warm. I know some people will say 1500 watts is 1500 watts and that won't save any energy. I think it does, as its not on for as long of a duration as the others.

I'm not sure how effective it would be in an actual garage setting. Extra dirt/dust and the cold blast filling the area every time the overhead door is opened.

I liked it so well I got 2 more for in the house. I'd gladly pay a $120 electric bill vs. the $400 gas bill.

The Sun-Twin is priced about the same, but has a wood cabinet, rather than the black poly-propylene shell of the EdenPure.

I've bought all 3 of mine from a guy on eBay, and actually paid $350 each for the last 2 using the "make offer" deal used on some auctions.

I guess this makes me a happy customer.
