Edge protector trim for a hole cut in R-panel sheet?

Has anyone found a rubber edge trim that would properly form around a hole from 4-inch down to 1-inch diameter cut in an R-panel garage wall? The edge trim I am seeing doesn't look like it would form inside a hole without the grabby-ends splaying apart and not gripping. I will want to either protect wiring from the sharp edges of a hole or seal around a pipe passing through the hole. Should I consider cut-to-size grommets instead? Or is there another method you have found to protect the sharp edges?

Not sure what type of wiring you are trying to protect. When I ran 120 volt thru my shop wall to feed my island light, I used gray electrical plastic fittings to connect a junction box mounted on the inside wall to a surface mount receptacle box mounted on the exterior wall.

the hole is in the flat?

Plumbing section at any Big Box, pass wires thru coupling, or put pvc in the coupling first, then pass wires through

or head to the roofing section and buy a pipe boot to thread through. Trim to fit

I've used automotive vacuum hose, split lengthwise, and then placed over the sharp edge.

search for "trim-lok" you can get it and similar products on Amazon. Some of it has a metal liner that would help hold it in place.
