I need more than 10 edits per day. I know I'm the only one here that needs that many edits but I still need them nonetheless.
Type it into a draft emailIf you are working on a desktop or laptop, use Word or Notepad to prepare your text. Cut and paste into the posting box after editing. If using a phone, then you have a problem.

I know Mike, but I've had this forum and couple of others lose stuff before, especially when the post gets to be quite long. I usually have my autosave set at about 1 minute when working on long or complicated technical posts...... Also doesn't help that this antique computer I use doesn't take kindly to power hits and doesn't always save the page I was on at the time. The forum saves drafts. You can just come back to it

Because my fingers are dyselxsic and often hit the Post Reply button before I get a chance to carefully proof what I wrote.I guess I have to wonder how you make so many edits . my mother used to say , " think before you talk"![]()
Can we at least get a count-down
Thanks!I am not sure on that. that would have to be answered by Ryan .
Like Cobbler mentioned, that's on @Ryan but I doubt that will happen as only a few seem to have issue with it.Because my fingers are dyselxsic and often hit the Post Reply button before I get a chance to carefully proof what I wrote.
Can we at least get a count-down so I don't spend five minutes editing and then find out I hit my limit? Counting to ten is hard. At least, while typing, as I need all my fingers to screw that up.
Do you get any notification when a member starts banging out all these edits or if they are done in a short time span ?We used to have unlimited, but people abused it... So don't blame me. Just blanket blame people in general.![]()

I know others have had issues with the limit in the past but I have have seen the damage from a member editing all their posts to ..... or whatever.
Could the amount/time period be re-evaluated to like 8 edits in a 12 hour period ? Effectively giving more edits during the entire day but they would have to be spread out over the 24 hour clock.
Oh, I touch type at around 60 wpm. Then I have to go back and try to figure out what the words I typed were supposed to be. My fingers have developed an incredible ability to scramble letters. I mean, all the right letters are usually there, just in random order.Like Cobbler mentioned, that's on @Ryan but I doubt that will happen as only a few seem to have issue with it.
I realize the max edit can be an issue for some like me, who can't type and never learned how, I just do a decent job with "hunt/peck" method. I do completely understand why it was implemented.
Not only that, but I recall something else I wish I'd added to the post after posting it.Oh, I touch type at around 60 wpm.
