Hey everyone. I had my barns floor poured on November 2nd. 3500PSI - Wire mesh - Vapor Barrier - Troweled Finish - 4" thick. Crew came the following day and did the relief cuts. Temperature was mid 60's. The temps have since dipped into the 20's and back to the 50's,60's. Barn does not have overhead doors yet. Large tarps. Fast forward to a couple days ago and I started to see this whiteness showing on the surface. I assume its efflorescence based off of what I've seen online. My question is that I want to seal it with PS100 sealer (already purchased/on hand). I know I shouldn't seal it if this reaction is currently happening. I want to clean the surface with efflorescence but don't want the "etching" effect for my floor. Is there a cleaner that wont leave the floor like 150 grit sandpaper? Is there a point in time where what its showing will just be the norm and I can go ahead and seal it? PS100 is a Low VOC, Water Based Repellent & Stain Inhibitor for Dense Concrete & Porous Natural Stone.

Pour some water on it. Does the whiteness seem to disappear when wet, and reappear dry? If so it's likely efforescence.
Look up a product called F9 Efflo. Have to order it, about $40/gal of concentrate. It shouldn't etch the concrete.
