I'm in the process of waiting for my concrete to dry so I can epoxy coat. I've already cleaned and prepped for the epoxy. I noticed I'm getting efflorescence on the apron. I guess this is just because I pressure washed the garage countless times while patching and preparing the cement. The main method of prepping the concrete was by etching, although I did a good amount of grinding as well. Also I used diluted ammonia to bring the PH of the cement surface back up to normal range after etching.
Anyway, is this efflorescence normal? is this just what happens when the concrete is drying out?
