I've had this mower for less than a year but on the second season. I love the electric but hate the speed iq function. It's supposed to be smart enough to sense the speed you want to go out the ideal speed or something. It does none of that. You can be going along on flat smooth lawn with consistent grass and all of it a sudden it tries to take off at 60 mph. Then when you aren't going 60 mph, it senses that and comes to a stop. Get to a corner and the wheels which have independent motors will release to let to turn but then they all of a sudden lock together and you have to fight it. I wish I would have gotten the normal self propelled. I ended up with this one because it did have the bigger battery and was the same price as the lower model. Maybe they knew it sucked and we're trying to get rid of it. Anyway, if you get a chance to buy one, don't.

Fwiw, I'm not the only one with these complaints. Doubt they ever fix it though.

Same problem here. Very disappointing. If they did any field testing at all they would have discovered this flaw. At the very least they could generate a fix of some kind. I guess not enough people complained to force them to do anything. Certainly makes you think twice before buying any more of their tools.
