Good evening experts. I am in the home stretch of building a 32' x 32' workshop. I will save the details for when I do a build thread, but I have a couple of questions I need to resolve soon.
#1-I needed an ejector pump to get the septic from the shop to the septic tank. The ejector has a control box with it. Where should I mount the control box? I was originally planning inside the shop, but my electrician convinced me to put it on the exterior wall of the shop. Looking at the manual, it says there is a spot on the pump basin for the controller. The more I think about it, the thought of having the box on the exterior of the house seems goofy to me. Seems like it would be an eyesore and have potential to get damaged. Thoughts?
#2-I have to decide what type of walling to put on the inside of the shop. I go back and forth between OSB and drywall. If I went with OSB, what thickness is recommended? This will primarily be for woodworking and tinkering around. There shop has attic trusses and the possibility of someone living in the upstairs is possible. If that is the case, I suppose I need fire protection, which would exclude the OSB. Thoughts?
Thanks for all your input.
