Every time I have to get out the weed wacker out I find myself wrestling with 150 foot of loose electrical cords.

Can anyone give me any suggestions or pictures showing how I can mount an electrical cord reel in my garage so that I can just grab the end of the cord, unreel it, and walk outside and go to work.

What I do? I have a 2 old rims from spare tires (thinner) mounted the the wall. One for extension cord, one for air hose. Tip, hang them up in a figure 8 so they don't coil when you pull then off. Invest in a gas weed wacker. The freedom is soooooo much nicer.

Store the cord in a 5-gallon bucket. Cut a small hole near the bottom and run the male end through it, leaving enough cord so you can plug into a nearby outlet. Then simply loop the cord inside the bucket. When it's time to weed-whack, plug it in, and walk away from the bucket with the female end of the cord. No tangles. Feed it back into the bucket when done.

The Greenleaf Wonder Winder works well. I was skeptical when I bought mine, but it really does work well. It coils the cord perfectly every time. About $20 on Amazon.
