Electric drill gear nose cone grease amount.

I am rebuilding my Black & Decker #361 1/2" slow speed electric drill. I want to verify how much grease to put in the gear nose cone. I am thinking kind of full but some air space like I found when I took it apart.

If its not too late to answer; Leave an air space as I read many years ago (before Internet) that the grease expands as it gets hot which will bind the gears and push seals out.

There should be more air than grease.
