I picked up a 10KW furnace from a company that salvaged from a condominium.
Not sure how to mount the damn thing - see pics. I built a small storage room (6X6) for the compressor and heater, but can I have a hole cut in the drywall and just mount the heater up against it? also do I need a cold air return I planned on a vent anyways for air to the air compressor.
Or do I need ducting, etc? It doesn't need to be routed all over the garage as it is only 975 sq ft, but I just am not sure how to mount this.

Any ideas are appreciated!!!

The 2nd picture is the actual forced air unit I am installing.

If you have adequate electric service to operate the furnace, you can certainly use it. Most air handlers like that do require some form of ducting do build a slight amount of back pressure so as to not overload the blower motor. Since you also need to ventilate your room for the air compressor, you can either have the return inside the room along with some for of ventilation for the room itself (louvered/vented door, thru-wall registers, etc) or separate through the wall specifically for the furnace. You still need to provide some form of venting for the compressor, as well as for the outlet of the furnace/heater. Adding this ducting and multiple registers will also spread the heat out into the room and allow you to direct it, even if it is just a series of register vents along the outside of the small room.

Electric circuit is there nowm I will be installing a register for ventilation.. I am just confused on how to properly mount the Furnace.
I can put it on a shelf I assume (for access later) and just run a short piece of ducting to a vent that I cut into the wall.
Or do I really need the ducting and just mount it directly to the vent in the drywall?

got it from a salvage yard that removed it from a condo.

Since I saved money there - I should just call an expert to install it.

Is is an updraft or side draft unit? If it's an updraft, I'd mount it on a plenum box in the corner with the filter at the bottom, and air intakes on both sides of the corner. Then just a big plenum with an elbow on top to blow into the shop space. You could also build a plenum box on the wall opposite the door with some registers in it to point the air in various directions.
