Looking to redo the bathroom. Going to do a tile floor. Saw the electric heated floor kits they sell at Home Depot. Are these kits decent? Do they work well? Or is it just a half assed version of in floor heat?

Yup, they sure do.
My mom put one in at her house in the kitchen and it works great. The cats love to sit on the floor with it turned up. I've found myself laying next to the cats on occasion.
I can imagine putting it in a bathroom would be nice. Nothing is worse than stepping out onto a cold floor.

Cool. Gotta run a separate circuit and I should be good to go. Do these need 220v?

They have both.....Layout is easy,then I pour a layer of self level over it !
