Your in TX. OP is in Ontario, CA. Not sure exactly where but below 0F (-20C) is pretty common in those parts at night.

LOL, can't see CA from my driveway for sure. I do note that his power rates are well better than our co-op. Last bill here was .165/kwh. The less we use the more they charge - say what?

I have decided to go with a 5000W ceiling heater and have it narrowed down to these two options below, just trying to decide which is the better choice.

Option 1: Name brand heater, but higher price and I'd have to buy more wire.

Option 2: Store brand, lower price and I don't have to buy more wire... I can mount the thermostat where I have my current 220V plug, and I have a 14' piece of wire that is long enough to go from that thermostat to where I want the heater.

I did some more research and it seems that the Princess Auto unit is the same as a NewAir G80. Lots of good reviews for it online, so I might as well keep the extra $130 and buy the PA one. Thanks everyone for your help!
