How do I go about determining for certain what this TechTop motor is, single phase or 3 and HP? I was told by the seller it is a single phase 10 hp (RD1-RS-TF-215T-4-B-B-10 I assume) but want a 2nd opinion. My plan is to rebuild the Saylor Beall 707 pump and run it with my 5hp Ajax, slower and quieter. The 10 hp would be sold along with the 120 gallon tank.

It's definitely single phase. Can't say on hp. It should have a nameplate. Cord looks pretty light for 10hp

No data plate...that would have made life easy

It looks like a farm duty air over motor, 5 HP should be 1-1/8", 10 HP should be 1-3/8", although you will se variations.

Not worried about a warranty. When you pay $100 for a 7.5hp Saylor Beall pump it is as is

A 7.5 HP motor may have a 1-3/8" shaft too. I will bet it is not a 5 HP. If the seller says it is a 10 HP, it probably is.

It might be, but there are, for example, 215T frame single phase motors available in 5, 7.5 and 10 hp. Frame size will not indicate hp, but it will indicate dimensions including shaft size.

It's probably a 10HP, just based on the size of the motor. Based on the capacitor sizes, it does indeed appear to be a TechTop RD1-RS-TF-215T-4-B-B-10
