Electric Motor Question

I have a single phase one horsepower motor that has both a start and a run capacitor. What are the symptoms of a bad run capacitor? Trying to diagnose a weird problem with my compressor. Thanks. Rob

Pulls more current and trips the thermal overload. Will usually run fine with a light load.

Check and see if your multimeter has a capacitance measurement function and check and see if the caps are within tolerances.
