Electric mowers

Advice on best buys on electric mowers. Are higher voltage batteries
Longer lasting. Any brands better to look at , or not!! I done fair amount reading and find greenwise and a model from Toro.
Any thoughts appreciated. I 'd like efficient,
Strong and not going to break the bank. I have a large front and back yard,with fair amount pine trees. I'm thinking mulching is good. Thanks for any help.

I bought a B&D 24volt (CMM1000) in 2000, and used it until the batteries quit taking a charge in 2009. It worked fine for my suburban yard, which had a parkway, front lawn and small back lawn to mow weekly.
It was a mulching mower, and it mulched well, as long as you didn't let the grass get out of control and too tall/thick.

This could be an issue. You might have to cut the front one day and the back another.

As Steve said, don't let the grass get to long or you might not even finish one or the other.

When I was on a normal city lot - I had a 24v Ryobi cordless that lasted a couple of years until the batteries crapped out. I replaced the batteries and it was fine until the charging board crapped out. Wired up my own charging system and went a couple more years until the second set of batteries took a dump. Called it quits and got a corded Craftsman mower that was already a good 10 years old.. Works like a charm on smaller yards.
Now I have 3/4 acre to mow and use a ZT mower and small gas mower for edging around shrubs, etc..
