I am in a process of insulating a small 15'x20' garage to use as a hobby machine shop. Here, in Toronto, temperatures do drop quite low during winter. The garage walls are exposed cinder block and the roof has exposed rafters with no insulation. The floor is a concrete slab of unknown thickness.
I have been thinking about using a heating foil product such as this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320305740694. The plan is to put some insulation on the slab, then the heating foil, and finally a layer of OSB.
Does this sound reasonable? Anything I should watch out for?
