I'm looking at putting a heat source into my pole building to provide spot heating when I'm working out there.

I was looking into Gas options, but that seems like more investment that I need. I use a tropedo to get things up to temp when really cool, really just need a heat source for the workbench when it's not too bad out.

Any experience with Electric Quartz tube heaters from Fostoria? Do they work pretty well?

Also trying to decide between the 3000W 240V unit vs. 1500W 120V unit. I have 100A 220 service, but is it worth the extra hassle of wiring in the 220 unit vs. just pluging in a (or 2) 120V units?

I was looking at the same type from Berko JRK model. I was going to just get the 110V and use 1 or 2 units. They also make a wall mount bracket.

I was looking at the Fostoria CH-57 units myself. 3KW --> 10,000 BTU Thinking about 2 mounted over my common work areas.

Anyone with experience with these type of heaters> Not looking to keep the shop warm continuously, just to make working at the bench tolerable in the winter.
