Electric swich ?

While using my old Delta contractor table saw I shut it off for min,when I hit button to restart it wouldent. Took push button swiTch off, lil springs and pcs of plastic fell out.Can I wire simple on off switch to it to use temp till I get new one Monday?

Yeah, he just wants a one day switch though. Hell, I'd just plug the saw straight into an extension cord that was tied securely to the saw so you can pull the plug out with one hand.

For one day.

Switches are not a safety device but magnetic feature for errant start up notwithstanding. You turn the saw off and it still coasts for 15 seconds and 14 of those will cut your finger off.
