I've got many 110 volt tools with, of course, attached wires. I must have a dozen but have not found a way to store them without getting the cords tangled or in a jumble as they are stored in a common locker.
Any ideas?

This. Maybe when I get more organized I will have a slot to place my tools in which would keep the cord segregated. But I am not expecting that anytime soon.I wrap the cord around the tool and tuck the plug into the coil. I also use the velcro cord wraps.

Frequently used tools - velcro. Everything else - zip ties. I like zip ties better for long term storage as they hold more securely, cheaper and faster to use if doing a lot of cables.
No matter where I store corded power tools, I wrap the cord around the tool and tuck the plug into the wrap. No tangles that way. With that being said, I use lateral file cabinets to store my handheld power tools.
