Electrical ?? can I extend lines using gang boxes?

I have two ceiling lights that come from a gang box (previous owner installed), can I still change those two bulb sockets to six bugeye's? Thanks

As long as the circuit is rated for it

The title of your post and your question are different but the answer is yes to both. You can use junction boxes to make splices and extend a circuit. Just make sure the junction boxes will be accessible, ie. they can't be covered by sheetrock or any other type of wall sheeting. The additional lights can be added as long as the addition of them doesn't exceed 80% of circuit capacity!
